The heart is the seat of all acts of cognition of the soul
Pamfil D. Jurkevych (1827- 1874)

"After suffering ill health for several years and bouts of diarrhoea, Hopkins died of typhoid fever in 1889 and was buried in Glasnevin Cemetery, following his funeral in Saint Francis Xavier Church on Gardiner Street, located in Georgian Dublin. He is thought to have suffered throughout his life from what today might be diagnosed as either bipolar disorder or chronic unipolar depression, and battled a deep sense of melancholic anguish. However, on his death bed, his last words were, "I am so happy, I am so happy. I loved my life."

Gerard Manley Hopkins, S.J- English poet  (28 July 1844 – 8 June 1889)

happy just being
Ikkyu, the crazy Japanese monk, has a poem:

You do this, you do that
You argue left, you argue right
You come down, you go up
This person says no, you say yes
Back and forth
You are happy
You are really happy

"What he is saying is: Stop all that nonsense. You're really happy. Just stop for a minute and you'll realize you're happy just being. I think it's the pursuit that screws up happiness. If we drop the pursuit, it's right here." James Hillman

Love and hate

Our aim in developing the ego will therefore be to strengthen and train this power of pure love once more as an organ of knowledge; hate will then dissolve away and also, to the measure of what now lives in us and through our bearing towards them, out of the souls of others; for hate locks out our understanding of others. Rudolf Steiner pointed to the fact that hatred and misunderstanding have grown to such excess among human beings today that, carried into the post-mortal sphere, they can no longer be dissolved by the hierarchies. The result is that something like a spiritual cancer is branching out ever more and more through human civilization. We should take out of this an admonition to concern ourselves with what actually goes on inwardly as ego and astral experience, so that gradually we learn to form and handle the forces of the second, spiritual being in us.

Evolution is a mystical thing. We evolve continuously, depending on our thoughts and actions. We must be aware of our own development, while being respectful and encouraging of the development of others around us. We must tune in every sense we possess--hearing, www.miracle-ear.com vision, touch, taste, scent-- to our surroundings, to the cosmos. Our souls depend on it, as do positive relationships and situations that we cultivate.

'Mysterious Orbs - Emanations from A Divine Field'

with Linda Moulton Howe

It is a field, yes.

They would be in the same relationship as I would see, for example – I see the human existence as a very temporary excursion from the reality that is the divine reality, is beyond this reality. The consciousness part would remain after the physical death of the person. There are, in fact, huge numbers and varieties in that reality that we cannot see.

Yes, that we would likely pass into after our physical existence ends here.

It is possible.

It could be. I would not exclude that. I would say that’s a likely explanation, but if you go in the direction of orbs being those who no longer live with us on Earth, that might be far too limiting. I would simply call them entities in a reality beyond our reality.

Almost as old as the framework of our continent, the earliest Egyptian civilization dates back to the ancient red race. The colossal sphinx of Gizeh near the great pyramid, is its handiwork...The sphinx, that first creation of Egypt, became the latter's principal symbol, its distinctive mark. The oldest human priesthood carved it, a picture of calm and of the awe-inspiring majesty of nature. A man's head emerges from a bull's body with lion's paws and folds its eagle wings at its sides...In this composite of bull, lion, eagle and man are also contained the four animals of Ezekiel's vision, representing the four constituent elements of the microcosm and macrocosm: water, earth, air and fire, the foundations of esoteric science. When the initiates saw the sacred animal... they knew that the answer to the riddle of the sphinx is Man, the microcosm, the divine agent who includes within himself all the elements and forces of nature.

In Greece the word music comprised poetry as well as music in all its elements and forms. As the latter were of an intellectual nature (as indicated before) mankind was educated into thinking through the experience of music. It was the period wherein human consciousness had to make the transition from the mythical to the intellectual. And we now understand the world-changing deed of Pythagoras, when he fixed this intellectual element through a mathematical approach to the musical interval relationships. This to support the development of logical intellectual forces by feeling through music.

The ninefoldness of the songs of the Muses comprised man's entire being, not only in the soul, but also physically and spiritually. Each one of the Muses influenced a specific area of inspiration. For the body it was Terpsychore who regulated the rhythm; Melpomene stimulated the dance and Kalliope, Orpheus' mother, gave a beautiful voice. Breathing and heart, the limbs and the organs of speech and song were resounding this threefoldness. The second group: Klio, Erato and Euterpe was more connected with the soul. Through them could the melodic principle in the simple song e.g. ring forth with its elegiac or happy aspects. Finally through Polyhymnia, Thalia and Urania the blessings of the highest musical creations; the Hymns, the Choric-cultic forms and the expressions of divine spiritual life were given.

Now it is possible to construct a diagram, simple but meaningful, comprising three triangles in three ever expanding circular spheres.

Elemental Music

"Elemental Music is never just music. It is bound up with movement, dance and speech, and so it is a form of music in which one must participate, in which one is involved not as a listener but as a co-performer. Elemental Music, word play and movement, every-thing that awakens and develops the powers of the soul builds up the humus of the soul, the humus without which we face spiritual soil-erosion. When does soil-erosion arise in nature? When the land is cultivated in an unbalanced way, when the natural hydrological cycle is disturbed by over-cultivation, when forest and hedge are sacrificed on utilitarian grounds to the drawing-board mentality--in short, when the balance of nature is undermined by one-sided encroachment. And in the same way we face spiritual soil-erosion when man estranges himself from the elemental and loses his balance."

Fractal Evolution

Profesor Anton Zeillinger's group in Vienna have recently demonstrated that the fullerene molecule, composed of 60 carbon atoms (the famous buckyball), can pass through two slits simultaneously. Few physicists doubt that as the technology advances, bigger and more complex systems will be shown to inhabit the quantum world. Fullerene molecules are spheres with a diameter similar to that of the DNA double helix. If fullerene can enter the quantum multiverse then DNA may do the same.

'When the One is attained, all problems are solved.'

It is (in the center of the brain behind) the spot between the eyes. Lao Tzu called it 'the gateway to heaven and earth'; hence he urged people to concentrate on the center in order to realize the oneness (of all things). In this center is a pearl of the size of a grain of rice, which is the center between heaven and earth in the human body (i.e., the microcosm); it is the cavity of prenatal vitality. To know where it lies is not enough, for it does not include the wondrous light of (essential) nature which is symbolized by a circle which fatherly Confucius called virtuous perfection (jen); the Book of Change (I Ching) calls it the ultimateless (wu chi), the Buddha perfect knowledge (yuan ming) and the Taoists, the elixir of immortality or spiritual light; which all point to the prenatal One True Vitality. He who knows this cavity can prepare the elixir of immortality. Hence it is said: 'When the One is attained, all problems are solved.'

About Serotonin
The Serotonin Club

"Neuroscientists believe that brain function is the combined result of millions upon millions of nerve cell communicating with each other in the vast network that we recognize as the brain. Brain cells, or neurons, communicate with each other by releasing molecules, known as neurotransmitters. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter.

"Although there are many neurotransmitters, there is good reason to study serotonin in particular. For example Fluoxetine (Prozac) and other related compounds exert their therapeutic effect on depression and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) by acting on serotonin in the brain. Furthermore, hallucinogenic drugs such as LSD are also thought to target serotonin sensitive cells by selectively mimicking some of the effects of serotonin. Finally, many normal behaviors also appear to depend of intact serotonin function in the brain. For these reasons, many of the members of the serotonin club have spent our scientific lives trying to unravel the biology of serotonin."

"But how does serotonin do all of these things and how do drugs, therapeutic or otherwise, affect serotonin? We know that neurotransmitters are released by one nerve cell when that cell becomes electrically activated. Once released, the neurotransmitter contacts and influences the functioning of other cells downstream. From this we believe most drugs that target serotonin affects the ability of serotonin to influence the function of brain cells. Not surprisingly, one large area of research is devoted to trying to understand how this happens. "

In Subtle bodies

The physical-etheric nucleus is transferred to higher energy bodies when the subtle body dies – serving the same purposes as a "black box" flight recorder in an airplane in preserving information about a particular life’s experiences. This nucleus is also responsible for the life review in a near-death experience. According to Besant, the permanent particles are used to preserve within themselves as "powers of vibrations" (i.e. different frequencies and waveforms) the results of all experiences through which they have passed. By the end of one life in the physical body, the permanent particle (or physical-etheric nucleus) would have stored up "innumerable powers of vibration" (i.e. a set of waveforms of different frequencies).

A personality is simply a "packet of self-organized information". If this information can be transferred from one body to another that personality "lives" on. Information stored in the physical-etheric nucleus allows the personality and its associated physical-etheric body to be "reconstructed" or "resurrected" in a similar physical-etheric body later - in a process analogous to a teleportation. According to plasma metaphysics, the physical-etheric body provides an electromagnetic matrix which plays a critical role in the morphogenesis of the physical-biomolecular body. This provides a basis for reincarnation or a resurrection (depending on which religion interprets it).

The physical-etheric nucleus enables the transfer of information from one body (in one universe) to another body (in another or the same universe) during the (physical) death process. If not for this transfer, the experiences in the physical (3d) universe may be difficult to access or reconstruct at a later date. The information about our self has to be "uploaded" to another "player" (i.e. a body) to continue our personal existence. The advances in Science suggest that the nuclei of the various subtle bodies can carry a large volume of complex holographic information about their corresponding bodies and experiences.

The world is a holy place

All around us, to right and left, in front and behind, above and below, we have only to go a little beyond the frontier of sensible appearances in order to see the divine welling up and showing through. But it is not only close to us, in front of us, that the divine presence has revealed itself. It has sprung up universally, and we find ourselves so surrounded and transfixed by it, that there is no room left to fall down and adore it, even within ourselves.

By means of all created things, without exception, the divine assails us, penetrates us and moulds us. We imagined it as distant and inaccessible, whereas in fact we live steeped in its burning layers. In eo vivimus. As Jacob said, awakening from his dream, the world, this palpable world, which we were wont to treat with the boredom and disrespect with which we habitually regard places with no sacred association for us, is in truth a holy place, and we did not know it.

we know it.

regulate harmoniously an ascent of consciousnesses ( a much more delicate phenomenon).

With the advent of the power of reflection (an essentially elemental property, at any rate to begin with) everything is changed, and we now perceive that under the more striking reality of the collective transformations a secret progress has been going on parallel to individualisation. The more highly each phylum became charged with psychism, the more it tended to 'granulate'. The animal grew in value in relation to the species. Finally at the level of man the phenomenom gathers new power and takes definitive shape. With the 'person', endowed by 'personalisation' with an indefinite power of elemental evolution, the branch ceases to bear, as an anonymous whole, the exclusive promises for the future. The cell has become 'someone'. After the grain of matter, the grain of life; and now at last we see constituted the grain of thought.

Only, from this crucial date the global spurt, without slackening in the slightest, has acquired another order of complexity. The phylum does not break like a fragile jet just because henceforward it is fraught with thinking centers ; it does not crumble into its elementary psychisms. On the contrary it is reinforced by an inner lining, an additional framework. Until now it was enough to consider in nature a simple vibration on a wide front, the ascent of individual centers of consciousness. What we now have to do is to define and regulate harmoniously an ascent of consciousnesses ( a much more delicate phenomenon). We are dealing with a progress made up of other progresses as lasting as itself ; a movement of movements.

Let us try to lift our minds high enough to dominate the problem. For that, let us forget for a moment the particular destiny of the spiritual elements in the general transformation. It is, in point of fact, only by following the ascension and spread of the whole in its main lines that we are able, after a long detour, to determine the part reserved for individual hopes in the total success.

Addicted to Love
chemical addiction between people

The results were surprising. For a start, a relatively small area of the human brain is active in love, compared with that involved in, say, ordinary friendship. It is fascinating to reflect, the pair conclude, that the face that launched a thousand ships should have done so through such a limited expanse of cortex. The second surprise was that the brain areas active in love are different from the areas activated in other emotional states, such as fear and anger. Parts of the brain that are love-bitten include the one responsible for gut feelings, and the ones which generate the euphoria induced by drugs such as cocaine. So the brains of people deeply in love do not look like those of people experiencing strong emotions, but instead like those of people snorting coke. Love, in other words, uses the neural mechanisms that are activated during the process of addiction. We are literally addicted to love, Dr Young observes. Like the prairie voles.

"The human being is therefore specifically related to the earth in movement and form, pictorially in outer space; in inner formed movements of his supersensible bodies in spiritual space. This cubic spiritual form of man which we each have in us is like a gyroscope that is always in relationship to the earth wherever he is.Furthermore the astral current into which the Ego works has, as Steiner describes, a spiral movement. The spiral contains all the spatial directions:left-right, above below, right-left, below above. Sun and Moon also spiral around the earth, regulating day and night and the seasonal changes. As man sleeps, he breathes out in a spiral movement...

Prophetic dreams have played their part in our life, both personal and historical- from the warnings of the Guardian angel of danger through a dream, recounted in fairy tale and legend, to dreams which have had an impact at an historical level such as Constantine's well known dream that he should fight "under the sign of the Cross.

A study of dreams points to the fact that mankind in his historical development undergoes a change of consciousness. In pre-Christian times, the priesthood experienced direct contact with Spiritual beings who revealed to them their intentions for the guidance of mankind. Remnants of this consciousness are recorded in both Old and New Testaments, Herodotus and many others.

Our present mode of consciousness usually only allows dreams of an organic or desire-anxiety nature to enter consciousness. Nevertheless, that we can bring something of a positive and objective nature out of sleep is evident from the common experience that we have of finding that a solution to a problem is there on waking: many artists, poets and scientists share the experience that inspirations are present if we can catch the moment of waking. So in sleep there must be states of consciousness which are objectively valid, and which have to do with processes common to everyone.

Carlos Castaneda in his initiation training describes how he is taught to control his dreams, so that they become objects ofconsciousness; this is something which many people experience who take up a spiritual training. To enter into sleep with a trained consciousness can lead us to distinguish the stages of sleep and the world behind the sense perceptions of the day.

we can remain young in growing old.

...natural science has made great advances in our time and has a rich content. But this content has remained head-knowledge, it has not been transformed into heart-knowledge because people- I pointed this out yesterday- no longer pay attention to what approaches in life after the twenty-seventh year, because people do not understand how to become old- or I could say, to remain young in growing old. Because men do not keep the inner livingness their heart grows cold, the heart warmth does not stream up to the head; love, which comes from the rest of the organism, does not fructify the head. The head knowledge remains cold theory. There is no necessity for it to remain cold theory, all head-knowledge can  be transformed into heart-knowledge.

The spiritual must originate in hearts which beat for Michael as the fiery Prince of Thought in the Universe'.

The age of Michael has dawned. Hearts are beginning to have thoughts; spiritual fervor is now proceeding , not merely from mystical obscurity, but from souls clarified by thought. To understand this means to receive Michael into the heart. Thoughts which at the present time strive to grasp the Spiritual must originate in hearts which beat for Michael as the fiery Prince of Thought in the Universe.

We are dual co-authors of our common life as Humans

The outlines of a Theory of Everything,
with Cosmological and Philosophical implications.
By Leo Vuyk

We humans are quantum mechanical systems, who are only able to follow the quantum mechanical rules of the Universe, which we merely partly know and understand. Consequently we have to search and innovate these rules to find out who we are, and how reality can be described ontologically . Our understanding of the world is restricted by an ontological gap, between scientific language and reality, therefore we have to search for a bridge. This paper is an attempt to describe possible outlines of that bridge.

I postulate that the basic features of the Universe must be of a type that allows the evolution of dual mirror symmetric, EPR correlated observers outside the "system", which means that "we and elementary particles" are always correlated by "instantaneous action at-a-distance" acting between dual correlated universes. If we take a Chiral Quantum Mechanical Universe as a "system", then The Universe that we know is only a half-truth, without a "broken symmetry", and we should have a mutual observer- and guiding relation with at least one spatial separated anti-mirror Universe.

Consequently, the so called "superposition- and collapse events" in the universe are only the half truth, all these events are based on "instantaneous information flow" called "actions at a distance" or "Big Bang entanglement " between at least two spatial separated events in different universes. Even if we measure a collapse event in the laboratory between "local" related particles in an EPR experiment, which is also supposed to have an instantaneous non-local collapse relation, this dual universal "BB entanglement" should be also present on top of it.

Then I suggest that each elementary particle is instantaneous observed and/or guided without the time for "reflection, by its distant shadow anti-particle in our dual anti-mirror Universe. The difference with human choices is supposed to be, that humans are equipped with enough time for reflection (retarded EPR correlation or retarded Big Bang entanglement) to develop what we call Free Will by Vetoing urges and intentions (Benjamin Libet), and become aware of moral differences, and even altruism. Consequently if this increase in reflection time is related to the evolutionary increase of complexity of cells, the goal of human evolution seems to be the creation of moral awareness, made by animate dual synchronized logic quantum computers with enough time for "reflection", like our dual synchronized brains. Thus: Descarte's: "I think therefore I am" should change into: "I am a QM system, which is always non-local instantaneous EPR correlated, and in competition for Free Will with my opposite anti-I, living in a dual anti-mirror universe, therefore We are! We are dual co-authors of our common life.
