The Angel
Where have you gone? Just now I felt you here.
Why have you turned away again, my friend,
Toward that life I cannot comprehend,
When just a moment since you were so near?
I should with you into your world descend,
From which I feel up wafting evil breath,
Dive down with you into the realm of death
That like a corpse is rotting without end.
Some of my kind, I know, have learned to climb
Down dreadful stairways into your dead land.
But I have not. I cannot understand,
And fear, the troubled tales from realms of time.
O let me veil my head, until anew,
And pure as you are dear, you come returning,
With nothing filled but sweetest spirit-yearning,
And to your archetype in radiance true.
Christian Morgenstern
Is our universe the outcome of an experiment carried out by a superior intelligence in another universe?
The practice of prayer appears in a new light during the course of the sun path. Whoever lives within the great, world-embracing shining of the light, has no need to call impotently upon a distant God. It is again only a question of opening doors or windows so that the omnipresent, flowing light can stream in. It is a question of putting obstacles aside and removing barriers. Prayer opens doors, makes dull windows transparent, forms more sensitive, far reaching sense organs. 'For your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this: Our Father...'( Matt.6:8f ). It is a question of swinging ourselves into the great cosmic movement of the colourful, life- living source of the light which bears all existence along.

Angels
Here lies the great danger for the age of the Spiritual Soul. This is what might still happen if, before the beginning of the third millennium, men were to refuse to turn to the spiritual life. The third millennium begins with the year 2000, so it is only a short time ahead of us. It might still happen that the aim of the Angels in their work would have to be achieved by means of the sleeping bodies of men — instead of through men wide awake. The Angels might still be compelled to withdraw their whole work from the astral body and to submerge it in the etheric body in order to bring it to fulfillment. But then, in his real being, man would have no part in it. It would have to be performed in the etheric body while man himself was not there, just because if he were there in the waking state, he would obstruct it. (par.49)
They will give us strength to be vigilant and alert. We can season ourselves to be watchful human beings by paying heed to many things. We can make a beginning in this direction now; we can discover that in reality no single day passes without a miracle happening in our life. This last sentence can be turned, and we can also say: If on some day we find no miracle in our life, then we have merely overlooked it Try one evening to survey your life and you will find in it some event of slight or great or middling importance of which you will be able to say: It came into my life and took effect in a truly remarkable way. You can realise this provided only that you think comprehensively enough, provided only that you have in your mind's eye a sufficiently comprehensive picture of the circumstances and connections of life. But in the ordinary course this does not happen, because as a rule we do not ask ourselves: What was it that was prevented from happening by this or that occurrence? (par.66)

The human spirit which had become the son of man would perish in the physical world if this son of man were not to climb upwards again to the Divine Beings, to the light of the spiritual, finding delight in times to come in the daughters of the Gods. It was necessary for the evolution of mankind that the sons of the Gods should unite with the daughters of men, with the souls who are fettered to the earth, in order that as the son of man the human spirit should learn to master the physical plane. But it is necessary that the human being of the future, the son of man, shall take delight in the daughters of the Gods, in the divine-spiritual light of wisdom with which he must unite in order then to grow upwards again into the world of the Gods.

Then the authorities received the knowledge (gnosis) necessary to create man. Sophia Zoe - she who is with Sabaoth - had anticipated them. And she laughed at their decision. For they are blind: against their own interests they ignorantly created him. And they do not realize what they are about to do. The reason she anticipated them and made her own man first, was in order that he might instruct their modelled form how to despise them, and thus to escape from them.
Now the production of the instructor came about as follows. When Sophia let fall a droplet of light, it flowed onto the water, and immediately a human being appeared, being androgynous. That droplet she molded first as a female body. Afterwards, using the body she molded it in the likeness of the mother, which had appeared. And he finished it in twelve months. An androgynous human being was produced, whom the Greeks call Hermaphrodites; and whose mother the Hebrews call Eve of Life (Zoe), namely, the female instructor of life. Her offspring is the creature that is lord. Afterwards, the authorities called it Beast, so that it might lead astray their modelled creatures. The interpretation of the beast is the instructor. For it was found to be the wisest of all beings.
Now, Eve is the first virgin, the one who without a husband bore her first offspring. It is she who served as her own midwife. For this reason she is held to have said:
It is I who am
the part of my mother; and it is I who am the mother.
It is I who
am the wife; it is I who am the virgin.
It is I who
am pregnant; it is I who am the midwife.
It is I who
am the one that comforts pains of travail.
It is my husband
who bore me; and it is I who am his mother.
And it is he
who is my father and my lord.
It is he who
is my force; What he desires, he says with reason.
I am in the
process of becoming; yet I have borne a man as lord.

Its title Zohar (light, splendour) is derived from the words of Genesis 1:3 ("Let
there be light") with the exposition of which it begins.
Kabbala

In the soul the I flashes forth, receives the impulse from the spirit, and thereby becomes the bearer of the spiritual human being. Thus man participates in the three worlds, the physical, the soul and the spiritual. He is rooted in the physical world through his physical body, ether body and soul body, and through the spirit self, life spirit and spirit man he comes to flower in the spiritual world. The stalk, however, that takes root in the one and flowers in the other is the soul.

Dreams
"Bardo is a Tibetan word that simply means a transition or gap. ... Of course,
the bardos of death are much deeper states of consciousness than the sleep and
dream states, and far more powerful moments, but their relative levels of
subtlety correspond and show the kind of links and parallels that exist between
all the different levels of consciousness," writes Sogyal Rinpoche in The
Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. "For example, the way in which you react
to dreams, nightmares, and difficulties now shows how you might react after you
die."

Gaia Hypothesis
Named for the Greek Earth goddess Gaea, holds that the Earth as a whole should be regarded as a living organism and that biological processes stabilize the environment. First advanced by British biologist James Lovelock in 1969.
